Classic Car Show Finder ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Classic Car Show Finder mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and optional profile photo.

Location Data: With your permission, we access your device's location to show nearby events and enable GPS-verified check-ins. Location data is used in real time and is not stored on our servers beyond what is needed for check-in verification.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics about how you use the App, including events viewed, searches performed, and features used. This helps us improve the App experience.

User-Generated Content: Reviews, ratings, photos, and event tags you submit are stored and displayed publicly within the App.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and a push notification token if you opt in to notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalize the App experience (nearby events, favorites, reviews)
To enable GPS-verified event check-ins and dash plaque tracking
To send push notifications about events you're attending (Pit Pass and Event Pro subscribers only)
To compute leaderboard rankings and award badges within the Evolution System
To display ads to free-tier users (ad-free experience available with Pit Pass or Event Pro)
To improve the App through anonymized usage analytics
To respond to support requests

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these limited cases:

Public Content: Your display name, profile photo, reviews, ratings, photos, tier title, and badges are visible to other App users.
Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and cloud functions; WeatherAPI.com for event weather forecasts; and Google AdMob for advertising to free-tier users.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) with industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Access to user data is restricted by Firestore Security Rules that enforce authentication and authorization.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Update: You can view and edit your profile information, display name, and profile photo at any time within the App.
Delete Your Account: You can delete your account from the App's Settings screen. This removes your user profile, reviews, attendance records, and associated data.
Location Permissions: You can enable or disable location access in your device settings at any time. The App works without location but cannot sort events by distance or enable GPS check-ins.
Push Notifications: You can enable or disable push notifications in your device settings.
Ad Preferences: Free-tier users see ads. Upgrade to Pit Pass or Event Pro for an ad-free experience.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will promptly delete it.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, cloud messaging)
WeatherAPI.com (weather forecasts)
Google AdMob (advertising for free-tier users)

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
